Marvel recently dropped a new Endgame trailer and it looks like Earth’s mightiest heroes are summoning their remaining strength for their biggest battle yet. The two-and-a-half minute trailer propelled fans to pick out little details that would help paint a clearer picture of what we could expect in the movie.

And so did we. These are the little nuances which we noticed in the trailer which helped us come up with theories of our own.

1. Hawkeye might have lost his family during the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War.

The latest trailer gave us more Hawkeye and not just Clint Barton in his Ronin outfit crying in the rain. We also see, what seems to be his daughter, practicing archery.

There could be a possibility that his daughter gets erased from existence after the snap. This could have triggered his transition from a family man under house arrest to a guy with a mohawk who has nothing left to lose because he has lost everything. Including most of his hair.

2. Hawkeye’s daughter could prove a long running theory of her being Kate Bishop.

After it was announced that Katherine Langford will have a role in Endgame, people speculated that she could play the role of Kate Bishop.

In the new trailer, we see that she’s one helluva archer. Could it be that Clint is training the next Hawkeye i.e. Kate Bishop/ Barton?

3. Scott Lang was trapped in the Quantum Realm for a couple of months.

There’s a shot in the trailer where Scott Lang is looking at a street post with missing people’s posters on it. Did you notice that he looks confused? Was he unaware of the events that transpired during the aftermath of Infinity War?

Remember the post-credit sequence in Ant-Man and the Wasp? He travels to the Quantum Realm.

And soon after, the scene transitions to Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, and Janet Van Dyne snapped out of existence. But we’re largely left unaware about how long Scott was gone.

Back to the present when Scott glances at the posts – they look a little sun-faded and the weeds in the yard behind him look a bit overgrown. It could be that he was trapped in the Quantum Realm for a couple of months before making it out.

4. The new Avengers suits might possess the capability to travel to the Quantum Realm.

In the new trailer, we get a glimpse of the new white suits, with a familiar red material underneath.

Ant-Man’s suit is made of the same red material which enables him to travel to the Quantum Realm. So maybe, these suits will allow the remaining Avengers to travel back to the past and undo the snap.

5. Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic could be the one who made the new Avengers suits which could hint at the introduction of the Fantastic Four in Endgame.

If the new Avengers suits function the way Ant-Man’s suit does, it would enable them to shrink to the subatomic level, taking them to the Quantum Realm. There are only two people with technical know-how who escaped Thanos’ snap – Tony and Bruce. But neither of them have any understanding of the Quantum Realm.

Flim School Rejects

But what if it wasn’t them but another super-intelligent person entering the fray? One of the smartest people in the comics is Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic. This would also be the easiest way to introduce the Fantastic Four into the MCU.

Comic Vine

The IMDb cast listing mentions a scientist. Could it be Mr. Fantastic? Maybe.

IMDb

This theory might be a little far-fetched since it’s unlikely that they’d just drop the Fantastic Four out of nowhere. Also, the rights of the franchise are still in the hands of Fox Studios. Though there were rumours of Disney acquiring the rights in early January, it’s unlikely that they’d continue with their shooting with the release date so close.

6. Endgame takes place over the course of one whole year.

People commented a lot about Black Widow’s hair in the trailer which changes colours and length in the blink of an eye (or frame).

This is her hair in the first Endgame trailer. Blond and short.

And this is her hair in the second trailer. Blond and long.

Notice the blond tips at the end? Her hair is crimson and much longer.

The difference between the length of her hair hints at the fact that at least a year has passed since the snappening. And this also hints at how epic this movie is going to be. The events of Infinity War unfolded in two weeks tops, but Endgame‘s story is so large that the characters live out more than a year trying to bring resolution to it.

7. We might finally see Bruce as Professor Hulk.

Bruce appears in the trailer for just a few seconds, but we never get to see the Hulk. There’s a possibility that Marvel is saving him up before they reveal Professor Hulk.

Quirky Byte

For the uninitiated, Professor Hulk is the merged version of the character where parts of Banner’s intelligence and personality can be seen even after he transforms into the big guy.

Last month, this image was leaked on the Internet which made fans speculate. In it, Hulk looks more human-like than we know him to be. Seeing as Banner had trouble turning into Hulk throughout the course of Avengers: Infinity War, it could be that Endgame would make up for that with some version of Professor Hulk.

Comic Book

In the official poster too, Bruce is in his human form and not Hulk. We’ll have to wait for the movie for the ‘grand reveal’.

8. One of the four Avengers who said, “Whatever it takes,” in the trailer will die. Or maybe all four of them will.

Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Iron Man – all say the phrase, “Whatever it takes”. It could be that they’ll give in their all saving the universe, losing their lives in the process.

We know that Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.’s contracts will expire after Endgame. This could mean that they’re the ones who’ll be killed off. Also, Hawkeye and Black Widow are minor characters so it wouldn’t hurt the Avengers if they’re cut out. Yes, there’s a Black Widow movie in the making, but it’s a prequel. Or maybe it’s three others who’ll die.

9. The trailer contained scenes from the first Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor movies, so maybe Endgame will be their last.

Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor received a throwback to their first movies – all with a greyscale overlay. This could hint at the fact that Endgame will be the last movie for one of the three.
