It’s not everyday that Indian TV actors make it to a coveted list, given the kind of fan following Bollywood stars enjoy in our country. Naturally, it takes a minute to digest that this year, TV actors have risen from nowhere to not only make it to the ‘Sexiest Asian Men’ list but also pip the likes of Salman & Shah Rukh Khan in the process!
According to reports, Barun Sobti of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Vivian Dsena of Madhubala fame have finished 4th and 5th respectively in the ’50 Sexiest Asian Men Of 2015′ list.
While the recent report may come across as surprising to many, Vivian is absolutely ecstatic. He says:
“I am surprised that I am ahead of King Khan. I don’t consider myself sexy but thanks to my fans for so much of love and support. Usually sexy is tagged with six packs and great looks but I like to stay fit in a normal manner. It’s a great motivation for me.”
The long-running poll, compiled by the UK-based Eastern Eye newspaper saw some major shuffle in the results this year. Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has been toppled from last year’s numero uno position by former One Direction star Zayn Malik to rest at the second spot. Pakistani actors like Ali Zafar and Fawad Khan grabbed the 3rd and 6th position while Indian stars like Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan landed at 7th, 8th and 9th spot respectively.
However, the list largely remained dominated by Indian TV actors like Gurmeet Choudhary, Kushal Tandon, Gautam Rode, Kunwar Amar, Rithvik Dhanjani, Harshad Arora, Shakti Arora, Mohit Sehgal, Shaheer Sheikh, Shabir Ahluwalia, Ravi Dubey and also Gautam Gulati finding a bite in the apple pie!
