Here are some of the grandest things that happened at Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities:

1. Queen Bey – who charges at least ₹15 crores for a private concert – performed at Isha Ambani’s wedding function. 

A special celebration for Isha Ambani’s sangeet night was a private concert by the singer Beyonce. And you know, it does not get grander than this. 

Beyonce apparently charges $2 million for private shows. Which means that the Ambani must have spent at least ₹15 crores for just one part of the celebrations. 

It’s grand alright! 

2. At least 40 chartered flights were booked for friends and family, and a charter flight can cost ₹1,40,000/- per hour.  

According to reports, 200 chartered planes have been scheduled to take off and land at Udaipur during the week – of which, 40-50 planes have been apparently deployed for the Ambanis.

Additionally, even private carriers are flying extra flights to Udaipur during the same time, including Vistara that does not normally have flights to Udaipur. We are not sure if these are for the Ambani wedding… but that is the biggest event in the city right now. 

3. The wedding decor – from grand designs to even the napkins – were exclusively designed by Manish Malhotra. 

Manish Malhotra traveled to Udaipur with the Ambanis in advance as apparently, he lent his sartorial expertise to the entire wedding decor – right down to the napkin designs. 

Clearly, dresses weren’t the only thing designer at the wedding. 

4. Across the city, five-star hotels were booked for friends and family and luxury cars were reserved for their travel. 

Besides the grand wedding venue Udai Vilas, the Ambanis reportedly also booked five-star hotels across the city for their guests, friends, and family. 

Just FYI, a single night at the wedding venue costs approximately ₹58,000. 

Reports also shared that luxury cars, like BMWs, Jaguars, etc. were booked by the family to charter their guests from the airport and across the city. 

5. From Hillary Clinton To Bollywood Royalty, everyone made it to the Ambani guest list.

Apparently, 1500 guests were invited by the Ambanis for their daughter’s pre-wedding festivities. And these guests included the whole of Bollywood, literally. 

From business tycoons to cricketers, everyone graced the Ambanis with their presence. 

But the surprise guest was former US First Lady, Hillary Clinton, who arrived in Udaipur for the pre-wedding bash as well. 

Mind you, these are still just pre-wedding festivities. 

6. In the middle of the grand celebrations, the Ambanis did not forget their CSR activity and organized their ‘Swadesh Bazaar’.

The Ambanis also organized an artisan bazaar to showcase the local handicraft. 

They released an official statement describing the concept:

Swadesh Bazaar is a unique concept to encourage the craftsmanship of traditional Indian artisans, especially for a lot of indigenous crafts that need conservation and revival, and have been supported by Reliance Foundation over the years. The Foundation aims to broaden and deepen its support to the goals of Swadesh Bazaar on a bigger and more sustainable scale in future.

7. The pre-wedding festivities had more performances than the IIFA awards ceremony. 

Whether it was the couple performances of SRK and Gauri, and Aishwarya and Abhishek, or getting actors Aamir, Salman, and Shah Rukh on the stage, or having Karan Johar perform with Isha Ambani – the performances were out of this world. 

Of course, no one can beat Beyonce when it comes to powerful performances, but Priyanka recreating desi girl, Ranveer’s after-party shenanigans, and the Ambani family performances definitely made for one exciting night. 

And as if this wasn’t enough, there were also 3D performances… and yes, we do have proof of that!

8. A grand idol was created only for the purpose of the pre-wedding festivities. 

An embellished vessel holding a massive idol of Lord Shrinath Ji was designed especially for a maha aarti.

Nita Ambani even performed a small puja before the dance ceremony. 

9. Each inch of the venue was filled with flowers; the decor was one of the most extravagant ever. 

The flower decoration at the Udai Vilas was breathtakingly beautiful and there wasn’t a single space that was not adorned by gorgeous flower decorations. 

Simply put, there were enough flowers that one could drown in them.

Earlier, the fact that the wedding invitation card box cost ₹3 lakh had come across as extravagant. But the pre-wedding festivities sure put things into perspective.
