Waking up the next morning with a headache and the feeling of nausea is not something we look forward to after partying like crazy the previous night, right? Well, we have for you some quick remedies to cure your hangover instantly.
1. Drink lots of water or have an energy drink.
The first thing that you must have noticed after waking up with a hangover is the fact that your body feels quite dehydrated. This is because we lose a lot of salt and potassium from our bodies when we drink too much alcohol. Yeah, this is also one of the reasons why we end up feeling groggy. The first thing you should do is to have lots of water in order to re-hydrate yourself and flush out the impurities from the system. Remember, having water isn’t enough. You need to drink electrolyte rich fluids too if you want to get rid of the headache and regain your energy.

2. Have foods rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and proteins.
As I had mentioned above, alcohol tends to dehydrate your body so you should be mindful of what you eat. You should definitely avoid eating heavy because you might end up feeling nauseous. Instead, you should eat a healthy light breakfast rich in carbohydrates, minerals and proteins even of you don’t feel like it. You could have a weak cup of coffee but don’t make the mistake of brewing yourself a strong cup because doing so will only dehydrate you further and make your headache worse. Just eat healthy in order to normalize blood sugar levels and get rid of the fatigue.
Hot tip: Have a toast, eat some cereals, eat a banana or have an apple.

3. Do some mild exercises.
I know that even standing can seem like a challenge when you are hungover but there are some benefits of exercising. Now, when I say exercising I do not mean that you should hit the gym and directly start some rigorous workout. All I am trying to say is that you can try an walk around a little, do some deep breathing, yoga or meditation. This certainly is not a magic cure but it will help you to restore your body and mind. And you’ll be glad to know that exercising can also help in getting rid of the toxins from the body a little faster. There is no need to work up a sweat if you don’t feel like it. Just take a moment, sit in the sun and breathe in some fresh air.

4. Take a shower.
Taking a shower under cold water can not only freshen you up but can also wake up your senses. If you want, you can switch between hot and cold water while having a shower but avoid doing anything that is extreme because shock can do more damage to your system. Understood?

5. Get enough sleep.
It is natural that when you are hungover, your body needs some time to recover after a hectic night. After all, your body is not a machine, right? If you haven’t recovered fully, you should definitely get some sleep. Just stay in bed for as long as you can because even an extra hour or two of sleep can help a lot. Give your body the rest it needs. But don’t use this tip as an excuse to avoid work and other commitments, okay?

6. Nibble on some ginger.
Don’t make that ‘eww’ face guys because ginger is quite an effective remedy for curing nausea and this has been backed by research too. You can nibble on a few pieces of ginger or put it in your tea. I know ginger is not something that you might like having but it is quite an effective remedy that is definitely worth trying.

These tips will surely re-energise your body, mind and senses.
