What’s the first thing you do after waking up in the morning? For most people the answer would be checking the phone.
I am no exception to that and more often than not, these are the kinds of messages I wake up to.
We have a family group named FAMILY (duh!) and it has every relative I don’t really care about.
They keep sending such messages, flooding my phone with pictures I never see and delete if I ever do.
As it turns out, it’s not just my family.
As per a report by The Wall Street Journal, WhatsApp has around 200 million users in India, many of whom are totally new to the internet.
This new found love for technology has resulted in exchange of picture messages, good morning texts primarily which has led to one out of three smartphone users in the country running out of space on their phones every single day.
In the findings by researchers in Silicon Valley, these good morning images are also one of the top searches in the country.
So, you can run away from these messages by muting your family group but the problem is much bigger.
