Kolkata is synonymous with culture. The city’s spirit is intricately woven with poetry, music and nostalgia. Bengalis always seek pleasure in the finer details of life, the smaller joys, and that is what Oink Films , in collaboration with The Times of India, have captured in this heart warming video.

Titled A Day in the life of Kolkata : ‘Boktrita’, the video is a heartening portrayal of a conversation that ensues between a typical Bangalee Dadu and a bunch of youngsters over some ‘mudi’ (puffed rice).

With witty references to William Blake’s poetry, Rabindranath Tagore, Pablo Neruda, and the quintessential Bengali problem ‘ombol’ (indigestion), this video perfectly captures the daily humdrum life of a typical Bengali in Kolkata.
