Study. Learn to cook. Marry. Have kids. Settle down. Isn't that what the majority of Indian parents want for their daughters?
Life in India is a challenge for women in their 20s. Everybody wants them to get married and have babies. Sure, marriage is important, but that will happen when it has to, right? There are a lot of things that we must do on priority. So, whether or not you get married by 25, make sure you experience these 25 things:
1. Live on your own
Nothing in life teaches you more than living alone. You learn to let go of all your apprehensions and become independent.
Travel with your gang of girls or travel alone, but just pack your bags and leave already.

3. Quit the job you hate
A job is meant to feed one's mind and heart, and not just the stomach. If it doesn't make you happy, quit. Do something that you love. We only have so much time!
4. Dress for the occasion
Wear whatever pleases you. Don't save that dress for a special occasion!
5. Date all types of people. Find that special someone. Or not.
Date lots of people. If you find your man, good for you, but if you don't, don't feel bad about it. You don't need a man by your side to live your life happily. You are enough and you have enough.
6. Learn how to cook
Not the I-know-how-to-make-Maggi kind of cook. We should all know how to make a meal and pamper ourselves when we feel like.
7. Speak up against harassment
Stop tolerating any form of harrassment. Just speak up. You deserve to live as freely as your male friends do!
8. Save money
Sure, shopping is therapy which makes everything all right. But make sure you also save some money for a rainy day.
9. Learn a new skill
Paragliding. Trekking. Hip hop. Horse riding. Photoshop. Whatever it is that you've always wanted to do, do it. Now!
10. Keep a pet
Isn't it great to come back home and be welcomed by those warm happy eyes?
11. Do what pleases you, not what others say
If you want to drink, go grab one. If you don't, don't give in to the pressure. Do whatever pleases you!
12. Spend time with your parents
While we are growing up, our parents are growing old. Make sure you spend time with them. You know what your presence means to them.
15. Invest in something
It's always reassuring to have something to fall back on.
14. Eat whatever you want to
Stop thinking about your dream waist line and have whatever the hell you want to. Remember, there is no problem on earth which food cannot solve.
15. But at the same time, take care of your health
Exercise regularly. And start now. Don't wait to get to 30 to take care of your body!
16. Keep a journal
There is so much going on in a woman's life. Keep a journal and just pour your thoughts in. It's always good to look back and see how far you've come.
17. Get a makeover
Remember, the crazy hair colour you've been wanting to get? If you don't do it now, when will you?
18. Do what you want to do
You can do what others expect of you and make them happy. Or you can do what you want to do and make yourself happy.
19. Get yourself insured
You know you're going to get yourself insured at some point in your life. So why not do it in your 20s and save a lot of money?
20. Click as many photographs as you want to, but don't forget to experience them first
Women love capturing moments. Do that, but make sure you have experienced them to the fullest.
21. Go offline for a week
Forget about the number of likes and comments on your FB posts and go without social media for a week. Nothing will go wrong if you don't tweet or instagram!
22. Don't listen to society
If there is someone you are answerable to, it is yourself. Don't give a damn about what society says. Listen to yourself!
23. Don't put other women down
If you call her a bitch, so will men. Don't put other women down. Stand with them!
24. Reward yourself
When you do something good, give yourself a pat on the back. You've earned it!
25. Don't get pressurised about marriage
Most importantly, be your crazy self and have fun. Be yourself because everybody else is already taken!
