Living in India means living with several incongruities. While being home to some of the richest people of the world, India also shelters some of the most underprivileged. While Indians boast of unparalleled scientific achievements, more of them blindly follow orthodox practices. Though Indians boast of being the biggest democracy of the world, several artists are forbidden from speaking out. Yes, India is home to several such extremes.

The folk at Pinimal Posters attempted to show these aspects of India through these posters:

1. Though India boasts of a robust economy…

… only a few get to enjoy its fruits

2. While Indian scientists have progressed by leaps and bounds…

…more and more students find it difficult to cope with performance related pressure

3. Indians are skilled learners and imbibe knowledge from different regions…

…but somehow the indigenous variety is neglected

4. Though Indians have been recognised the world over for their contributions…

…we somehow fail to safeguard their interests

5. Indian women have proven their mettle in every way imaginable when given the opportunity…

…but several women are never given that opportunity

Let’s hope that as Indians we may be able to bridge the gap between the two extremes which comprise India and make it a truly great country.
