Trolls on Twitter are hardly a new thing. Hiding behind the safety of anonymity, a number of people take to the site for the sole purpose of abusing celebrities and other Twitter users. Take this guy’s incredibly odious tweet to veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
@chintskap your bio should be “Son of famous Chutiya-Father of famous Chutya” 😛
— Imran Shah (@ImranShh) July 4, 2015
Rishi Kapoor lost no time at all in in responding to this distasteful message.
Bahut naam bada kar raha hai apne maa baap ka, ke sahi taleem Di hai Isse. Shame! https://t.co/RssSDSi6VX
— rishi kapoor (@chintskap) July 4, 2015
The actor went on to say that the social media should go on to expose and embarrass abusive users like this guy.
One must expose and embarrass these sorts. Their head should hang in shame. Their parents must know of them. People should reprimand them
— rishi kapoor (@chintskap) July 4, 2015
And true to form, the rest of Twitter stood up together as one.
@ImranShh @chintskap Abusing neither makes you funny nor cool 🙂 Just Saying.

@harinder_virk @ImranShh @chintskap If abusing made someone cool, KRK would have been the coolest dude out here on Twitter.

We’re not calling for retribution. Like Rishi Kapoor says, the makers of such unnecessary provocations need to be called out and put to shame.
