A fancy photo of a hot chocolate fudge dripping with chocolate.

A good-looking picture of my school friend with her new boyfriend, hashtagged #RelationshipGoals.

And a gym selfie of an acquaintance who seems to be killing it in life.

That’s the order of posts on my Instagram feed at the moment.

Needless to say, it makes me feel even more miserable about my already messed-up life.

But I know I’m not the only one feeling like this. All of us compare our lives with that of our friends on social media and feel sad about not living it up like they are, don’t we?

Well, more often than not, there’s more to these photographs than meets the lens.

So, if you also equate your life based on happy, shiny photos on social media, you need to watch this very honest, eye-opening video:

There’s always more to it than meets the eye!

We can all take a lesson from this and stop equating happiness with social media validation.
