Chances are that you have scrolled through your Facebook feed checking out the many images of random people photographed on the streets of New York, who had a story to tell.

I mean, there is no way you haven’t heard of the beautiful, inspiring photo series that goes by the name of Humans of New York. It is a blog that features interviews with everyday New Yorkers. Each post features a photo of the person, and them telling a story about their life.

Many of you might also have met the photographer, Brandon Stanton, when he came to India.

So HONY lovers, hold onto your seats because we have some awesomesauce news for you.

Humans Of New York is coming up with a 12-part video documentary-series, and the first episode is out on Facebook already, for everyone to enjoy.

These are 1200 interviews that have been filmed over 4 years, all bringing stories and tales of people you will relate to even when you haven’t ever met them.

Humans of New York: The Series was confirmed on the photo blog’s official Facebook page. Brandon shared this message alongside the trailer:

Early on I realized that video would add a deeper layer to Humans of New York. At the heart of all these posts are the conversations themselves. I’m often deeply moved by the people I meet. Or they make me laugh. Or they make me think. And I always do my best to recreate the experience through photos and words. But I always knew that video would provide the closest thing to ‘actually being there.’ So for the last four years, I’ve filmed 1200 interviews on the streets of New York. (With the help of an extremely talented cinematographer named Michael Crommett.) Instead of posting these videos one day at a time, I held onto them so that one day I could combine them into something special. My goal was not to make a television show based on Humans of New York. I wanted the television show to *be* Humans of New York. I think I came pretty close. And I think/hope you will love it. Humans of New York, the series, will premiere next week on Watch— Facebook’s new platform for shows.

Excited? Go ahead, watch the first episode here.
