People say that a photograph speaks a thousand words. A recent photograph that has gone viral holds this saying true.

A few years ago, presenter Richard Weise visited the Abbotsbury Swannery in England that shelters the largest collection of wild swans, to host a TV show called Born To Explore

As DailyMail reports, he met a swan there who had flown into a chain link fence and had injured itself. Weise nursed it back to health and later transported it to another sanctuary for treatment.

Years later, he recently met the bird again. As he discovered, the swan had not forgotten him.

Wiese told ABC News “I pulled it to my chest and somehow it felt comfortable or safe, and within minutes it just surrendered itself. It literally took its neck and wrapped it around mine”.

“When I put it next to me I could feel its heart beating and it just relaxed its neck and wrapped it around mine. It’s a wonderful moment when an animal totally trusts you,” Weise further added.

It must be mentioned here that swans are not your typical affectionate creatures. They are even vicious at times and are always prepared to defend their territory and and their nests if humans approach.

Not only is this photograph beautiful, it captures a highly unusual scenario.
