As a country, nothing gets our pulses racing more than a nerve-racking cricket match. Whether it’s against the Pakis, the Aussies or the Kiwis, we just love to sit in front of the telly and pray for a victory. Needless to say, in a cricket-crazy nation like ours, you’ll find talented players in every nook and cranny. This is evident from the fact that…

While we’ve produced legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Zaheer Khan, we’ve also produced modern-day masters like Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane.

That said, the dream of wearing the Team India jersey doesn’t come true for everyone. There are millions of talented kids out there who lose out on proper training just because they do not have the means to pursue their passion. Total, the French oil and gas company, has taken a brilliant step in this regard.

They have partnered with former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar’s academy to train underprivileged kids and give them a platform to polish their raw talent.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Total Oil (South Asia) and Dilip Vengsarkar spoke highly about the partnership. To see what they had to say, check out the video below.

Going back 17 years, this partnership has helped shape the future of numerous talented kids. And not just from Mumbai, kids from all over the country have been training at this prestigious academy, in a hope to achieve the dream of playing cricket in the famous blue jersey.

The academy trains underprivileged who are selected purely based on merit and talent. Total Vengsarkar Cricket Academy is focused on providing impeccable and uncompromising coaching standards so that these players can become the champions of the future.

Currently, most of the players training in this academy have represented their states in this sport and all of them aspire to represent their country in the near future as well.

Kudos to Total and Vengsarkar Cricket Academy for not just helping these kids achieve their dream but also for realising the talent and the potential of the youth in our country.
