VietJet launched its first commercial flights in December 2011 and soon became Vietnam’s second-largest airline. The budget airline is also known for its controversial PR stunts. Back in 2011, it received huge backlash for releasing a series of photographs of women dressed in bikinis as part of an advertising campaign.
The airline soon gained popularity as the ‘Bikini Airline’.

The flight’s female crew apparently still wear a bikini on special flights.
While VietJet is quite popular in Vietnam due to its low fares, it remains to be seen how the airlines will be received in India.
