Think political meetings can get boring? Not when, there are stand-up MLAs to amuse you!

The Delhi Assembly witnessed a rather dramatic day on Wednesday when BJP MLA Vijender Gupta stood on his bench claiming that he was not being allowed to speak while the session was on.

Gupta, leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, accused Speaker Ram Niwas of “hijacking” time when a debate over an alleged tanker scam was on.

Citing corruption, BJP demanded fact finding report on the tanker scam that allegedly occurred during Sheila Dikshit’s tenure. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal chose to retaliate by threatening Gupta that he would ‘expose’ the scam in which his wife was allegedly involved.

Enraged by the CM’s comments and over not being allowed to voice his opinion, the MLA climbed the bench and started yelling. Watch the entire madness here:

And while that took place, Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia seemed pretty amused and couldn’t stop laughing at the antics. Later, when laughter subsided, he lashed out at the BJP legislator for disrespecting the Assembly. Speaker Ram Niwas Goel too condemned the ‘shameful’ act of Gupta.

The CM also reacted to the whole incident on Twitter:

But this was hardly the first time that Mr Gupta lost his cool and created such a scene. Last year also, Speaker Ram Niwas Goel had asked Gupta to leave Assembly after he entered into a war of words with AAP’s women legislators. When he refused to budge, marshals were called in who took Gupta out forcibly.
