A 17-year-boy, Kalpit Veerwal from Udaipur has done the unthinkable.
Making history, he has scored a perfect 360 out of 360 in JEE Main 2017 clinching the All India Rank (AIR) 1 . With his feat, he has become the the first student ever to score a 100% in the examination, deemed to be one of the toughest.

He is the topper in general as well Scheduled Caste category.
“It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains but I am taking it normally and focussing on JEE Advanced, which would be held next month,” the 17-year-old told Hindustan Times.
Never to miss a single class, Kalpit attributes his success in JEE Main to his parents. He told TOI, “My parents were particular about my health and made sure that I never suffered even a slight cold or cough. I used to study for 5-6 hours at home daily apart from the time I spent at the school and coaching classes.”
Kalpit’s father is a nursing staff in a government hospital in Udaipur and mother Pushpa Veerwal, is a school teacher in Udaipur. He now wants to pursue computer science from IIT-Mumbai.
