After the shocking video of a girl getting molested by two men in a street in Bengaluru went viral, the state police has detained the two suspects along with five of their accomplices, reports Indian Express.
The incident occurred on Sunday in Kammanahalli while an FIR was registered on Tuesday. In the CCTV footage, the two men on a scooter can be seen groping, molesting and assaulting the woman before riding off.
According to the initial probe, the mobile phone of one of the accused was active at the spot. Sources claim that a man living in the same area was detained for questioning and he confessed his involvement in the molestation.
While these men have been booked for attempted rape, molestation, and robbery, they are likely to be arrested on Thursday.
The incident at Kammanahalli took place after the New Year’s eve incident where several women were allegedly molested in prominent areas of the city.
As the incidents drew widespread outrage, Bengaluru’s new Commissioner of Police, Praveen Sood through a series of tweets on Wednesday, said his team was working on the case and promised to ‘waste not even a minute’ in case a girl complains of molestation.
If any lady gives complaint of molestation on 31st Dec police will not waste even a minute to register a case and start investigation.

Even without a complainant if police finds credible evidence of molestation a case will be registered suo motto without waiting.
