High drama and suspense ensued outside Apollo Hospital in Chennai as reports of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s death emerged. News of Jayalalithaa’s death was flashed by Tamil news channels and even picked up by the national media.
Amidst the confusion, even AIADMK’s party flag was seen flying at half-mast at the headquarters in Chennai which further fueled the rumors. It seems that even the party members remain clueless about her health status.

However, later these turned out to be rumours as no official confirmation from the hospital was issued. Dismissing the reports as “totally baseless and false”, Apollo asked news channels to rectify their “mistake”.
Our team of expert doctors continue to closely monitor and treat the Honourable Chief Minister. However her condition remains critical.
