On January 27, vigilance officials of national carrier Air India received information about a woman staff member, who had been stealing in-flight material from a flight. So when the flight landed from Colombo in Chennai, her luggage was screened and what they found was shocking.
Among the items found in her luggage included in-flight meals, coffee boxes, cashew nuts, juice packets, whiskey bottles and even milk cartons, reports the Hindustan Times.
The airhostess had reportedly flown on the Chennai-Colombo-Delhi flight and then flew on a Delhi-Colombo-Chennai flight when she was caught.
An Air India official said that the airhostess seemed to have grabbed “everything she could lay her hands on”. The airline has now taken her off the duty roster and ordered an inquiry against her.
