Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani escaped unhurt from a car crash on Yamuna Expressway on Saturday night in which one man lost his life, and two were injured, She later tweeted: 

But the daughter of the man killed in the accident, Dr Ramesh Nagar alleged that they did not get any help from the HRD minister for hours. 

Dr Nagar’s daughter Sandali told ABP News that when they requested the minister for help, Irani simply ignored them and left in her car.

Sandali said her father could have been saved, had Irani stayed and helped them, since Ramesh Nagar’s body was lying on the road for a long time. The girl said that they were on their way to a wedding when a vehicle in the HRD minister’s convoy hit them.

The victim’s brother lodged an FIR against Irani for neglect. The family also alleged that both the children were not given any medical attention at Mathura district hospital, and they were later taken to Agra SN Medical college where they received treatment, The Times Of India reported.

Ramesh Nagar’s elder son told The Times Of India said,

“Smriti Irani ignored the road accident victims, and moved away. It was later police took the children to hospital.”
