She is not like the other women of her village Patara in Madhya Pradesh. Her efforts have made her extra-ordinary. She is known in the village as ‘Dhadkan radio woman’.

Ramvati made an effort to reflect a change in the society through effective community radio medium. She is the radio jockey of Dhadkan radio which covers five villages of Madhya Pradesh. Every morning is a new start for this change maker who travels across these villages, does field reporting in order to educate and sensitise people about education, cleanliness and other basic needs of life.

As she says, “Radio taught me to talk… I would have remained inside a veil and sat at home.”
