Tej Bahadur Yadav, the BSF jawan who was sacked after he uploaded a video of bad quality food being served to soldiers, now says he will contest elections against PM Modi, as per a Hindustan Times report.
He said that he will fight for the seat from Varanasi that currently happens to be PM Modi's constituency.
When asked about his agenda, Tej said that he wants to create awareness about the rampant corruption in the forces.
My motive is not to win or lose. It is to highlight how this government has failed the forces, especially paramilitary forces. PM Modi seeks votes in the name of our jawans but has done nothing for them. Our paramilitary jawans (CRPF men) killed recently in Pulwama were not even given martyr status by this government.
He further said that many parties approached him to join them but he chose to compete alone.
