The United Nations has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the world to be achieved by 2030. One among them is to end all forms of hunger and malnutrition by 2030, ensuring that all people; especially children, have sufficient and nutritious food all year.

But these stats about hunger and food wastage in the world show that we are still very far from achieving this goal.

The lesser the amount of food we waste, the easier it will be to meet the food needs of the world.

If you want to do your bit, you can send in your contributions to Feeding India, a not-for-profit social organisation working towards channelising extra nutritious food from individuals, weddings, restaurants, and offices to those who really need it. They have several programs through which they reach out to the underprivileged section of society who have no access to food.

You can read more about them here.
