Gay supporters across US thronged to streets holding celebrations after the SCOTUS legalised gay marriage in all 50 states of the country.

The ruling requires states to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and forces states to recognise same-sex marriages performed elsewhere.

Many termed the ruling as ‘a historic one’ and ‘a big day in’ in the US history. However, there was stiff resistance from those who are opposing the gay marriages.
