We have seen mothers looking for a groom for their daughters, but how often do we witness the roles being switched?
Not very often!
So it was a pleasant surprise for people to find this tweet amidst all the hatred and trolling on Twitter.
Aastha Varma, whose Twitter account says she is a law student, recently put up a picture with her mother, accompanied with the caption:
Looking for a handsome 50 year old man for my mother! :) Vegetarian, non drinker, well established. #Groomhunting
And that is how, with a single tweet, she broke multiple stereotypes.
Kudos gul. Ur mum is blessed to have u as a daughter. I wish good luck in the groom hunting.— Khushbu Patel (@KhushRebel) October 31, 2019
The post went viral pretty soon, with people lauding her for the gesture and also giving references of people they thought would make a good match for Aastha's mother.
Good idea. Wish her the best.— Yogini (@yoginisd) October 31, 2019

Some people also asked her why is she not trying matrimonial sites, to which she said she tried everything from Tinder to Shaadi.com but nothing worked out.
