A toll collector working at Kherki Daula toll plaza in Gurugram got abducted by goons because he asked them to pay toll tax. However, thanks to the heavy traffic on road, the abductors decided to release him and later threw him out of their car.

The incident happened on Thursday when 35-year-old Manoj Kumar, Assistant Manager at Skylark that manages the Expressway, stopped an SUV. When the driver of the car produced a license that did not belong to him, Manoj didn’t allow him to go without paying tax. However, when the driver threatened Manoj, he allowed the vehicle to pass, reports Indian Express.

After some time, the accused returned with four other accomplices in the same car and abducted Manoj at gunpoint.

“There was traffic congestion on the road and they and feared being seen or caught trying to take me away. One of them shouted, ’Shoot him’, while another said ‘Shoot at his leg’. I was thinking of my three children and family. I saw my entire life flash before me and did not dare utter a single word,” Manoj told Hindustan Times.

After covering hardly 200 metres, the attackers stopped due to traffic and parked the car on the roadside. They were soon joined by half-a-dozen men who came in a Toyota Fortuner and threw Manoj out of the car. They then beat him up and fled.
