News broke out on Tuesday morning that Bollywood actor and BJP sympathiser Anupam Kher has been denied a visa by Pakistan to attend a literary festival in Karachi. Soon after the Pakistani High Commission dismissed the allegations claiming the actor had never applied for any visa.
Anupam Kher held a press conference in the evening and refuted Pakistani High Commission’s claims.
“I did not personally ask for a visa, the organizers of Karachi Literature Festival did. For last 15 days, all my visa documents are ready. The organizers of the Karachi literature fest said that government officials had told her not to invite Anupam Kher. I don’t know why,” Kher was quoted as saying in a IndiaTV report.
As this event unfolded, here’s how Twitterati went after Kher:

If you are not outraged by Anupam Kher being denied entry to Pakistan, go to Pakistan. PS – please fill in visa form though while at it

“I used to like Anupam Kher” = “Anupam Kher should just stick to acting” = AK should stop praising Modi = AK should say India is intolerant.
