Most police forces in India use motorcycles to patrol the streets, but the Hyderabad Police are going to get some motorcycles that are going to be the envy of many others.

Police personnel in the city are going to get 10 customised cruiser motorcyles manufactured by Chinese firm Regal Raptors, reports The New Indian Express

A senior government official told the newspaper that each motorcycle costs around 3 lakh and are meant for use in emergency situations for which police officials will even receive special training from the manufacturer.

This is what the motorcycle is expected to look like:

Each of the motorcycles has 320 cc engines and will be customised with additional features like speakers to make public announcements and beacons.

But how good are these bikes?

Automotive magazine Top Gear had reviewed the Regal Raptor Daytona 350, one of the models the Hyderabad Police will be getting, in which it had pointed out that while the motorcycle is fast, quiet and easy to drive through traffic.

But while it praised the ride quality, the review felt that the price for the motorcycle was a little higher than it should be. Doesn’t seem to be a problem for the Telangana government though.
