A day after his much awaited return, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has revealed that while he wasn’t exposed to any physical harm, he did go though ‘mental harassment’ during his time in Pakistan.

Abhinandan was held captive by the Pakistani army on 27th of February and was ‘returned’ to India last night as a ‘peace gesture’.

This happened a day after Indian jets entered Pakistan to destroy the camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad and the neighbouring nation retaliated by crossing the LoC next morning.

As per reports, the pilot’s Mig-21 was attacked and he ejected in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and was taken into the custody soon after.

Almost two days later he returned to India but it was delayed because the Pakistan Army wanted him to shoot a video praising them, said sources
