In another attack on Indians abroad, a 21-year-old student was allegedly shot dead by four armed robbers at a grocery store in California. The incident happened on Tuesday night when the deceased, Dharampreet Singh Jasser was attacked by four armed robbers, including an Indian-origin man.
According to a report by PTI, Jasser was on duty at a grocery store in Fresno city when the incident happened. He hid behind the cash counter during the attack but was shot by one of the four robbers while they were leaving the service station after looting cash and goods.

Hailing from Punjab, Jasser was an accounting student and had gone to the U.S. around three years ago.
A 22-year-old Indian-origin man named Athawal, who is one of the four suspects, has been arrested. He has been charged with murder and robbery.
