The IED blast reduced the bus to a mangled heap of iron and body parts could be seen strewn around the area.

According to reports, the militant group, Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the blast and said that it was a fidayeen attack carried out by a local youth.
Police have identified the terrorist as Adil Ahmad who belonged to the same district.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to condemn the act of terrorism.
Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.
