PUBG, the game which has the youth glued to its phone screens, has become a serious addiction. The addiction interferes with the gamer’s daily functionality. Only recently a fitness instructor from Jammu & Kashmir was hospitalised after losing his ‘mental balance’ playing the game.

Now, according to a report, the game’s addictive nature is facing backlash for affecting the result of class X and XII examinations in Jammu & Kashmir. Consequently, according to Pristine Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has asked Governor, Satya Pal Naik, to immediately ban PUBG.

According to the same journalist, Deputy Chairman Raqif Makhdoomi said,

“The game should have been banned immediately after the poor performance of 12th and 10th class results but still we haven’t seen any action.”

Journalists and others have taken to social media to raise their concern to the authorities.

The incessant obsession with winning chicken dinners have become a hindrance to be able to function properly. It remains to be seen what can authorities do about it?
