Cricketers can come up with funky names for their kids. Brian Lara famously named his daughter Sydney because he scored his first century at SCG. Chris Gayle, infamously, named his daughter Blush because he is sexist likes to remind himself of the incident involving a reporter in the Big Bash League. (Weird dude!)

But our personal favourite is Jonty Rhodes naming his baby daughter India after his wife gave birth to their third kid during the IPL last year in Mumbai.

Jonty is now a familiar face in Indian cricket, thanks to his stint with Mumbai Indians in the IPL. And his love for India — the country and his daughter — is #TotesAdorbs, like kids say these days.

Baby India is back in India a year after her birth and seems to be having a terrific time.

Take a look at his Instagram posts from the past few days, as he took his family on a trip to South India.

If that’s his love for India, his daughter, here’s him showing some love for the country.

For Jonty, one of the greatest fielders of all time, clearly India is a prized possession. As he keeps saying #got2loveIndia and we can only say: #Got2LoveJonty

BONUS VIEWING: Here’s an utterly adorable post from Jonty because we just can get enough of Baby India.
