Will he be the next big thing for Liverpool? Yan Dhanda, a 17-year-old playmaker, has become the first player of Indian heritage to be signed by the Anfield club on a professional contract.
According to a BBC report , Dhanda had joined the Liverpool academy in July 2013 from West Brom and has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Reds.
The report also said that Dhanda had played for England at the under-16 and under-17 level, and also won the up-and-coming player award at the Asian Football Awards in 2013.

” I’m a creative midfielder but I play on the wing at Liverpool, coming in off the left, or coming in off the right. Liverpool have played me as a nine as well, dropping down. And I like to score goals, and assist,” he said in an interview soon after he moved to Liverpool in 2013.
He’s also hoping to make the first team by the time he’s 20.
