The 56th edition of Femina Miss India is currently underway and participants of the show are ready to fight it out to be the winner, as to whom will represent India at the Miss World competition.
Never known for inclusivity in terms of body type and skin colour, the pageant has come under fire, yet again this year after getting a picture of the finalists published in a newspaper.
What is wrong with this picture? pic.twitter.com/61B23aYFr6

Pointing out the lack of inclusivity, people said that all the contestants look similar – at least in the pictures – and have the same skin tone and facial features.
Looks like batch 17383 from clone factory

Same beauty filter has been used on everyone leaving no scope for diversity and inclusiveness.

It’s no news that the beauty standards for women in the modelling and entertainment industry – are pretty screwed – with people inclined towards the slim and fair.
The same got reinforced with this picture, where weirdly enough, all the contestants look the same.
I was one of 3 state finalists last year and the girl who won was the fairest. It really be like that lol
