Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and the BJP-RSS of crushing the weak and poor, d uring his visit to Faridabad to meet the family members of the deceased children.

He particularly blamed ‘Prime minister’s attitude’ for the death of two children of a Dalit family.

Rahul met Jitender, the father of the two children who were killed in Sunpedh village in Faridabad district , whose home was set on fire allegedly by men belonging to the upper-caste Rajput community on October 20.

Jitender’s wife, Rekha has suffered serious injuries and is admitted to hospital.

On being asked by a reporter that whether it was just a photo-opportunity, Rahul reacted and said, “What do you mean it’s a photo opportunity? People are dying in this country left, right and centre. And you are saying it’s a photo opportunity. It is insulting. Not to me, but to the family who has gone through this incident.”
