In the present age as efforts are made to increase the outreach of the internet for education and innovation through projects like Digital India, social networking has become an integral part of life.

But it seems like a school in Chennai doesn’t want students to socialise, as it makes sure they don’t have social media accounts.

A Twitter user posted a declaration about “Facebook and other social networking sites”, of the Srimathi Sundaravalli Memorial School in Chromepet for students of class VI to XII, Chennai, which asked the candidate to confirm that he/she “Does not hold an account in any of the social networking sites” and “Will not open an account in any of the social networking sites”.

The school confirmed to ScoopWhoop that their form asks for the confirmation regarding existing or future social networking activities of the candidates, but have not given further details for the same, as of now.
