Russia’s Besik Kudukhov, who finished second in the 60-kg freestyle event in the London Games in 2012, has failed a dope test – and this means India’s Yogeshwar Dutt is now officially a silver medal winner, upgraded from the bronze he won four years ago.
It comes as welcome news – with Indians lapping up every sporting glory – especially that achieved at the Olympics – after winning just two medals at Rio 2016.
आज सुबह पता चला की मेरा olympic medal upgrade हो कर Silver medal हो गया है। ये मेडल भी देशवासियों को समर्पित हैं🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/S6qxNHW9Po

United World Wrestling or the International Olympic Committee have not confirmed this at the time of writing, but Yogeshwar himself confirmed the news.
And among the ones who were celebrating was Virender Sehwag, who seems to be having a whale of a time on Twitter – and has garnered more than 6 million followers with his witty tweets.
He used the medal upgrade as a fine excuse to make fun of Ashish Nehra – who is quite famous for not using smartphones, but has apparently just bought one – if one can believe Sehwag.
Here’s his epic tweet – which celebrated cricket going to the USA, Yogeshwar’s silver and trolled Nehra – all in one:
Wah !Cricket upgraded in US, NehraJi upgraded to smartphone and now #YogeshwarDutt ‘s 2012 bronze likely to be upgraded to silver. #Upgrade
