Ex-cricketer Shane Warne has come up with a list of what could be India’s greatest test cricket team, selecting players from across eras.

Not surprisingly the list includes the legendary trio; Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.

Apart from them, Virender Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have also been made it to the list. Dhoni may not have played international cricket against Warne but made the cut thanks to to the IPL face-offs between the two.

Legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev is the only one from the 1983 World Cup winning team to have been included in this team.

Warne said it was a tough task for him to choose the best Indian team and he regretted not including Dilip Vengsarkar, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar and Zaheer Khan. He also said that he was left in a dilemma on whether to go for VVS Laxman or Mohammad Azharuddin for the No.6 position. He settled for Azharuddin.Warne’s team includes only those players whom he has played with. It might look like a strong team but definitely misses out big names like Sunil Gavaskar and Mohinder Amarnath. Here is the team members list:1 Virender Sehwag 2 Navjot Singh Sidhu3 Rahul Dravid4 Sachin Tendulkar5 Sourav Ganguly (C)6 Mohammad Azharuddin 7 Kapil Dev 8 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (played IPL against him only) 9 Anil Kumble10 Harbhajan Singh11 Javagal Srinath 12 VVS Laxman
