People all across the world woke up to the terrible news of the unfortunate terrorist attacks in Paris.
As the country reeled from a string of attacks leaving at least 120 dead, people from Paris and all across the world have opened their hearts and doors to those stranded because of the attacks.
The Twitter hashtag #PorteOuverte , which means “open door” in English, is being used to offer shelter to people as authorities urged people to evacuate the streets.
One tweet among the several thousand tweets that has caught our attention belongs to Rohan Singh Kalsi . He wrote:
Anybody who’s stranded in Paris and needs shelter and somewhere safe, any Sikh Gurdwara (temple) will be happy to accommodate #PorteOuverte

The tweet received an overwhelming response and was retweeted around 11k times. Clearly not expecting such a response, he wrote:
Thank you everyone for the kind words following my tweet earlier but there is no need. Sikhs are here to serve humanity at all times
