In a bid to ease the process of withdrawing cash, e-commerce company Snapdeal has launched ‘Cash@Home’ service. Under this facility, a customer can order cash at his resident and pay for it through debit or Freecharge mobile wallet.
The service by Snapdeal allows customer to order Rs 2,000 per booking. A fee of Re 1 will be charged as convenience fee for each booking, reports Hindustan Times.
And the best part? A customer is not required to order anything else in order to avail of the service.
However, it is currently available only in Gurugram and Bengaluru.
NDTV reports that the service is available only on the Snapdeal app and in order to use it, you use your location and a push notification will be sent via SMS that directs you to the order page.
Furthermore, your order will be placed, after which you can choose to pay through a mobile wallet or a debit card upon delivery.
According to Snapdeal, the service is launched as a “goodwill gesture” as the company receives cash through COD (cash on delivery) from many customers.
