A section of advertising in India seems to about tugging at strings that most Indians often relate to – sexism, patriarchy and a blatant classist approach.
There was an advertisement in the newspapers across Mumbai on 5th June for Lodha Luxuria Priva, a housing society in Thane.
The ad reads – “You worked your way up to rise above the crowds. Not live with them.”

@calamur Ad bordering as hate speech..

The Lodha campaign is also responsible for building the Trump Tower in Mumbai. Is this a sign?

People have attacked the obviously classist approach of the ad.

@calamur Actually, love the creative energy if that ad firm guy.VIP-ism sells, esp in terms of anything ‘luxury’ that targets middleclass
