Every scar on an abused woman tells stories of what the female has been through. The scars, probably, remain in her life forever — the harsh memories certainly do. Brazilian tattoo artist Flavia Carvalho has aimed to change the way women deal with these scars be it due to domestic violence or due to medical surgery.Carvalho’s project ‘A Pele da Flor’, meaning ‘Skin of the Flower’, aims to ink beautiful tattoos in an artistic way to cover up the marks of abuse faced by womenkind. A Mashable report says that Carvalho has been doing this free of cost for the last two years. Here are a few of her works:
