On February 16, Jadavpur University witnessed protests condemning the central government and the Delhi Police’s handling of the JNU row. Reports emerged of ‘Pro-Afzal’ and ‘Pro-separatist’ slogans being raised inside the Jadavpur University campus.

In light of this incident, the Kolkata police is reportedly asking all colleges in the city to provide details of all the students who hail from Jammu and Kashmir in a bid to ‘monitor their activities’, reports Indian Express.
