Vedantam Lakshmi Pratyusha was in the second year of her master’s degree in the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, when on Sunday she went missing. On Thursday, four days after she went missing, her father reportedly received a terse call from her in which she had a brief message: “I am safe and will return soon,”
