Case in point, the Indian Army’s tracker dog ‘Jaari’ very recently achieved an astonishing feat by locating a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives.

According to the Economic Times, these weapons had been hidden by an insurgent organisation belonging to Songbijit faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) at Panbari Reserve Forest in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).

Speaking to reporters, P Khongsai, Public Relation Officer (Defence) Guwahati said: 

Based on specific inputs of presence of huge amount of arms, the Indian Army launched a search operation in Panbari Reserve Forest, along with Assam Police and SSB. The Army Canine Jaari led his handler and the search teams to the spot and on digging the area, the Army and Police personnel found the hidden cache of arms, ammunition, explosive and war like stores

The items were then seized by Chirang Police and taken to Panbari police station.
