Atleast four people were killed and over 40 injured, with many feared trapped under collapsed sheds at the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain on Thursday after a thunderstorm hit the city, reported India Today .
Strong winds followed by heavy rainfall caused the pandals at the function to collapse claiming the lives of several devotees.

The month-long religious event began on April 22 and is expected to be attended by over five crore devotees. The Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv is based on the celestial line-up of planets and the signs of Zodiac which occurs every 12 years.
