Popular English news channel Times Now once again found itself in the centre of controversy after it referred to Kerala as Pakistan. While reporting about BJP President Amit Shah’s visit to the state on Friday, Times Now published a headline which suggested that the minister was going to Pakistan.

After the Centre recently announced new restrictions in cattle trade and slaughter, Kerala has been strongly opposing the govt-imposed food diktat. While reporting about the beef ban row and BJP President Amit Shah’s visit to Kerala on Friday, the news channel had run a headline saying ‘Heads to Thundery Pakistan’.
It was unclear whether it was a deliberate attempt to target Kerala because of the prevalence of beef consumption in the state or if it was an ‘inadvertent error’. But the channel wasn’t spared by the Twitteratti for its major blunder.
