A day after the horrific crash in South-West Delhi’s Dwarka area in which 10 BSF officials were killed, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid tribute to those killed. And when the inconsolable family members met the Home Minister, one of them asked him questions that he had few answers to.

“Why are old aircraft being used and lives of troops put at risk?” a distraught and agitated daughter of Sub-Inspector Rabinder Kumar, who was among those killed in the crash asked Singh.

Galat hai (It’s wrong),” she repeatedly told the minister.

The minister moved away but she continued to question him and kept shouting that what had happened was very wrong. She managed to follow Singh and kept demanding an answer from him.

“Why is it always the family of a soldier that has to cry every time? Why sir?” she asked Singh.

Singh could be seen wiping his eyes after interacting with the family members of those who had been killed in the crash. The Home Minister also consoled the young woman and promised that her grievances would be looked into.
