Incidentally, the youth is also named Nitish Kumar.

The incident occurred when the man came to meet the CM during his ‘Janata ke Darbar mein Mukhya Mantri’ programme. As the accused, a resident of Arwal district, bent down to take off his chappal, he was immediately caught by a posse of security men.

The man has been arrested and taken to a local police station for detailed questioning, the Senior Superintendent of Police told reporters.

The programme was taking place at the Chief Minister’s residence, where people were presenting their grievances and the CM was directing officials to initiate action.

It emerged that the youth had created chaos earlier too at the ‘Janata Darbar’ programme of senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi recently.

However, his grievance isn’t known yet, but officials said he was apparently angry over the state government’s recent advisory against use of fire for cooking and pujas between 9 am and 6 pm.
